Paul Phrampus, MD, FACEP was the recipient of the John P. Pryor, MD/Street Medicine Society Award by the Journal of EMS (JEMS). John P. Pryor, MD, FACS, was an EMS physician who was killed while serving in Iraq. Each year the award is given in his name to a physician who has come up through the ranks as an EMS provider.
